Lady Eagles Take Third at Rendleman Invitational
SALISBURY, N.C. The Carson-Newman Lady Eagles fired a 309 (+21) on day two to finish third at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at the Country Club of Salisbury in Salisbury, N.C.

Senior Sara Jane Sinard (Jefferson City, Tenn.) fired back-to-back 77s to finish in a tie for fifth with a two-day 154. She led all Lady Eagles with her opening-round 77.
Junior Jessica Tarbet (Corryton, Tenn.) and sophomore Erica Ray (Maryville, Tenn.) fired identical 12-overs (81-75=156) to grab top ten finishes in a tie for eighth. Sophomore Jessica Oliver (Knoxville, Tenn.) carded an opening-round 83, and closed with an 82, to finish at 165 for the tournament to tie for 28th.
SAC-rival Newberry held off Belmont Abbey College by two strokes to claim the team title.
The Lady Eagles wrap up the fall portion of their schedule next weekend at the Wendy's Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern University in Charleston, S.C.
