Carson-Newman Athletics Marketing Intern
Internship opportunities are currently available with the Carson-Newman University Athletics Department. If your goal is a career in intercollegiate athletics or sport marketing, our internship program is an excellent choice to gain experience and broaden your career path options. We offer opportunities within several units of the department and most positions will work across various areas of focus as needed.
Those selected as C-N Athletics Interns will acquire practical knowledge through hands-on experience and gain invaluable skills necessary to compete for jobs in the athletics and sport industries when their program is completed.
C-N Athletics will consider high school, college undergraduate and college graduate students for a number of internship positions. Currently, we offer Internship opportunities in the areas of:
- Advertising/Print Marketing
- Social Media
- Ticket Sales/Promotions & Sponsorships
- Mossy Creek Maniacs
- Game Operations
- Special Event Planning & Membership Drives/ Eagle Club Programs

Carson-Newman Athletic Operations Graduate Assistant
Carson-Newman University, an NCAA Division II institution located in Jefferson City, Tenn., invites applications for the position of Athletic Operations Graduate Assistant. The graduate assistant is a full-time position who will work directly with the Director of Eagle Club and External Operations.
The Athletics Department at Carson-Newman University supports all 19 varsity intercollegiate sports. This position will be hands on with game operations, marketing and promotions, fan engagement, special events, and other duties as assigned. It is a tremendous opportunity to gain experience supporting athletic administration and university teams.
Bachelor’s degree; Admission into Carson-Newman University graduate program; Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays; Strong oral and written communication skills; Organized; Valid driver’s license required.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge, graphic design, and other various media.
Experience working in athletics.

Compensation includes hourly wage for 20 hours/week and full graduate tuition waiver.
Start date: January 1, 2020. Two-year duration.
*9 graduate hours are covered in fall and spring semesters. No more than 6 hours are covered in summer semesters.
