2012-13: A preseason and postseason All-SAC first team selection. The sharp-shooting guard finished second in the conference in scoring this season at 18.7 points per game and made 3.7 three-pointers per game, the second-most in the nation.  Finished the year with 520 points, which topped Antoine Davis by 14 points.  A SAC Player of the Week award winner, Sanders turned in four consecutive 25-point performances, the longest such streak at Carson-Newman this century.  He is one of three SAC players with consecutive 25-point performances, but the only player who has gone beyond two. Sanders set a season high with 33 points in a home win against then league-leading Anderson (2/23). The shooting guard went 11-for-22 from the field and 9-for-18 from three in that game.  It was the fourth most threes in a single game in SAC history.  In that contest, Sanders set Carson-Newman's single season record for three pointers made - the previous record was 86, Sanders stands at 99 - which ranks fourth in the all-time SAC annals.  Was the only player to start and play in all 28 games for the Eagles.  Finished in double figures 24 times and beyond 20 points on 11 occasions. Had eight games with with five or more rebounds, including a new career high of nine in an overtime victory at Brevard (1/30).  Turned in four performances with five assists against Columbus State (11/16), Milligan (12/15), Queens (12/18) and at Brevard (1/30).  Had the second highest assist to turnover ratio on the team with a 1.75:1 figure.  Was third on the team in assists with 75.  Led the team in steals with 50 (1.8 steals a game was fourth in the SAC).  Established new career highs in steals in back-to-back games with five apiece agaisnt both Milligan (12/15) and Queens (12/18). 

2011-12: Played in all 29 games and made 28 starts as a sophomore. Named to the All-SAC second team, and was also a preseason All-SAC selection. Tied for the team lead with Antoine Davis in scoring, averaging 16.8 points per game. Shot 44 percent from the field, and led the Eagles by shooting 36 percent from three (82-of-228). Also led C-N in free-throw shooting at 83 percent (83-of-100). Led C-N with 44 steals, and added 84 assists with five blocks.

Third-leading rebounder at 3.8 boards per game. He had a team-high 11 games of over 20 points. He closed the regular season back-to-back games of 29 points in the win against LMU and 24 points in a loss at Anderson. He was also fourth in the SAC at 1.5 steals per game and was second on the team at 3.0 assists per game.

2010-11: Named to the SAC All-Freshman team. Sanders led the Eagles in scoring at 13.4 points per game as a freshman, but improved as the season progressed. Reached double figures in 15-of-19 games to close the year, including a historic 51-point outburst in a 106-86 win over Mars Hill College. The game set the SAC single-game record for points in a game. He shot 39 percent from three-point range on the year, connecting on 75 triples in his freshman season.
