HONORS:

  • Honorable Mention All-SAC

2016: Webster had one of the most prolific seasons by a Carson-Newman pitcher ever. With 254 strikeouts, she ranks third all-time in Carson-Newman history for punchouts in a single season.  She went 20-13 with a 2.19 ERA.  She ranked third in the league in wins, sixth in saves (2), second in shutouts (seven), and third in strikeouts.  Her ERA was sixth in the league.  Along the way, Webster set the Carson-Newman single-game record for strikeouts and was named as TSWA and SAC Pitcher of the Week for her efforts.  She fanned 16, breaking Heather Randolph's 24-year-old school record at UVA Wise.  She came within a K of her own record later in the year in a 10-inning game against Tusculum when she struck out 15. She has three of the four highest single game strikeout records in Carson-Newman history.  She also K'd 13 earlier in the season against King.  Webster had six double-digit strikeout games on the season.  She struck out eight in 14 of her appearances.  She hurled a no-hitter against Anderson (4/6), a game in which she walked the first two batters she faced before retiring the rest in order.  At the plate, Webster hit .164.  She had nine hits with a double and a dinger.  The home run was a three-run blast in the seventh inning of a game against Brevard on the road that gave the Eagles the lead and the win.

PRIOR TO CARSON-NEWMAN: Alli Webster comes to Carson-Newman as a transfer from Wabash Valley College.  While with the Warriors, she went 39-7 while earning region player of the year honors as a sophomore.  She was third in the NJCAA in strikeouts 254 and third in the country in strikeouts per game with 9.90.  She had a 1.64 ERA and was a NJCAA All-American.  Wabash College earned a conference championship in her freshman season while taking home as regional championship and a seventh place finish nationally in her sophomore campaign.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prior to her stint at Wabash College, Webster starred for Charlestown High School as a four-year all-conference and all-area selection.  She was the All-Area player of the year as a junior and senior and an All-State selection as a senior. She is the Pirates all-time record holder in career hits (161), doubles (37), homeruns (17), wins (66), shutouts (22) and no-hitters (10). She also is the only Charlestown softball player to have thrown a perfect game. She also touts a school record 813 career strikeouts.

PERSONAL The daughter of Jeff and Cindy Webster, Alli plans to study elementary education at Carson-Newman.  Her father played baseball at Indiana Wesleyan while her brother Jeffery plays baseball collegiately at Toccoa Falls. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
