ROCK HILL, S.C. - Carson-Newman College's Sarah Jane Sinard (Jefferson City, Tenn.) who led the conference in scoring, has been named the 2010 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Player of the Year, while junior Jessica Tarbet (Knoxville, Tenn.) was named first team All-SAC, and sophomore Erica Ray (Maryville, Tenn.) and freshman Melanie Manis (Louisville, Tenn.) were both named to the second team.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman Lady Eagles slipped one spot to finish third after firing a 19-over 307 in the final round of the McAmis Memorial Golf Tournament held on Tuesday at Link Hills Golf Club in Greeneville, Tenn. The Lady Eagles finished as the top school among six South Atlantic Conference teams that participated in the tournament. The Lady Eagles closed at 611 for a two-day total, 23 strokes ahead of Catawba College.
