JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman men's basketball's Jack Browder and softball's Macauley Bailey brought home top honors as the Frosty Award winners for Male and Female Athlete of the Year, respectively, Tuesday evening at the 13th Annual Frosty Awards ceremony inside Carson-Newman's Gentry Auditorium.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Frosty Awards Committee has released the finalists for the following categories: Male Athlete of the Year, Male Newcomer of the Year, Male Freshman of the Year and Male Performance of the Year.
Carson-Newman is in a tie for fourth after the first two rounds of the SAC Men’s Golf Tournament with 18 to play before the cut for the match play segment.
C-N was in a fight with Anderson all day for the final spot in the match play segment of the SAC tournament, but fell just short with bogeys down the stretch to finish 5th.

The Eagles finished in a tie for fourth at the Music City Invitational, marking their highest finish of the year by four spots.
The C-N Men’s Golf team put together a second round of three-under to hop two spots in the standings and put them in contention for a podium finish heading into the final day.
Bowen Wentz and Dylan Frein both recorded top 30 finishes for the Eagles, who played strong through 15 holes before big scores got the better of them to end out the round.
After an even par first round for C-N, strong winds caused trouble for the Eagles to land them middle of the pack after 36 holes.
Carson-Newman Men’s Golf will play their next event about an hour down the road in Lenoir-City at Wind River Golf Club in penultimate regular season tournament.
With multiple weather delays throughout the day, Eagles Men’s Golf fought through to score well at the Ralph Hargett Memorial, getting through 27 holes at Rolling Hills Country Club.
The Eagles dropped from 5th to 8th in the final round of the Ralph Hargett Memorial, tying at +14 with Ferris State.
