Bio
2025: Indoor - Started to lower his times at the Liberty open, running a 6.97 in the 60m and a season-best 21.87 seconds in the 200m. At the SAC Indoor Championships, he was unable to advance past the opening stages with a 6.95 60m and a time of 22.52 in the 200m.
Outdoor - Started the outdoor season coming in fifth in both the 100m and 200m at the Lee University Invitational. At the Tennessee Invite, he set his PR in the 100m at 10.40 seconds for eighth, and in the 200m with a 21.27 to claim 11th. At the SAC Outdoor Championships, he finished in fifth in the 100m with a time of 10.58 seconds.
When he was also part of the 4x100m relay team, they claimed a podium finish in five out of six events. They won at the Lee University Invitational to start the year, before taking home the gold again at the SAC Outdoor Championships, with a 39.78. The team came in first at the Lee University Last Chance, before heading to the DII NCAA Outdoor Championships, where they finished in fifth in the final round.
2024: Indoor - Set PR during preliminaries of VMI Invitational in the 60 meters with a time of 6.83, but placed second overall in the event.
Outdoor - Placed second in the 100-meter at the Lee University Invitational with a time of 10.41. Set PR in 200 meters at the Tennessee Invite finishing in 21.78.
2023: Indoor - Jones contributed to a 10th-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay during the Bast Cregger-Multi Invitational. The team finished in 3:37.16. He finished 12th in the 60 dash preliminaries at the 2023 SAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in 6.95 seconds.
Outdoor - At the Trojan Opener, Jones contributed to a fourth-place finish in the men's 4x100-meter relay where the Eagles ran the event in 41.64. He grabbed seventh in the 100 in 10.71. Jones ran a personal best in the 100-meter dash at the Lee University Invitational in 10.56 where he placed fourth in the event. He placed seventh in the 100 in 10.94 at the Tennessee Invite. Jones contributed to a winning 4x100 relay at the Georgia Tech Invitational. The quartet grabbed gold in 39.66. His 4x100 team placed second at the 2023 SAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 39.87. Jones travelled to the NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships with the 4x100 team. The Eagles placed second in 39.33, giving Jones All-American status in the event.
