Melissa Siler

Bio

2025: Indoor - Finished in second place in the pentathlon at the VMI Winter Relays, finishing in the top-3 in all five events, highlighted by winning the shot put at 10.64m. Siler qualified for the pentathlon at the SAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, where she finished sixth. Additionally, she ran for the 4x400 relay team that finished in fourth, and placed 15th in the shot put.

Outdoor - Did not compete.

2024 (at Wright State): Indoor - Set PR in the shot put with a distance of 10.88m, finishing 12th at the Mastodon Invite. Set her PR in the high jump as part of a tenth-place pentathlon at the IUPUI Invitational, clearing a height of 1.58m. She competed in the pentathlon at the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships, where she placed eighth, aided by a new long jump PR distance of 5.37m.

Outdoor - Siler earned bronze in the long jump at the NKU Norse Invitational with a distance of 5.03m. Placed ninth in the heptathlon of the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships, winning the javelin throw leg of the event with a new PR of 34.23m. 

2023 (at Wright State): Indoor - Set a PR at the Marshall Classic in the 400m, finishing in ninth with a time of 1:05.98. Earned 2621 points in the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships heptathlon, placing 14th in the conference. 

Outdoor - Set a PR in the 100m with a time of 13.31 at the Cherry Blossom Invitational. Shined in the heptathlon of the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships, placing seventh with 3965 points while also setting new PRs in both the 200m (27.63) and 800m (2:33.71) as part of the event. 

2022 (at Wright State): Indoor - Finished second in the high jump at the Marshall Women's Classic. Earned PR in the 60m with a time of 8.58 at the Ashland Jud Logan Light Giver Open Collegiate Indoor. Finished tenth with 2900 points at the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships. 

Outdoor - Siler earned two bronze finishes in the high jump and long jump at the Otterbein Twilight Invitational. Qualified in three events at the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships placing ninth, tenth, and 12th in the javelin throw, heptathlon, and high jump, respectively. 

2021 (at Wright State): Indoor - Placed 20th at the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships in the pentathlon. 

Outdoor - Earned first-place finish in the high jump at the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational, clearing a height of 1.48m. Finished eighth in the javelin throw and tenth in the heptathlon at the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
