Andrew Thompson

Bio

2025: Indoor - Thompson set a 3000m PR at the Liberty Open with a time of 9:14.45. At the SAC Indoor Championships, he set his personal best in the mile with a 4:35.80, he would also finish ninth in the DMR with a time of 10:54.60 seconds. 

Outdoor - To start the outdoor year, he finished 30th at the Lee University Invitational in the 3000m. Later in the season, he claimed his best finish of 19th in the mile at the App State Open, clocking in at 4:36.68 seconds. At the SAC Outdoor Championships, he set his PR in the 1500m with a time of 4:13.02 seconds. 

2024: Indoor - Participated in three meets, setting personal bests in each meet. Set his now-former PB in the 3000-meter at 9:25.49 at the VMI Invitational; when C-N returned to Lexington for the VMI Winter Classic, he set his PB in the mile with a time of 4:39.18. At the SAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, he set his personal best for the 5000-meter at 16:35.80.

Outdoor - Set PR in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:20.84 at the Tennessee Invite, and placed 22nd in the same event at the SAC Championships. 

2023: Indoor - Thompson contributed to a sixth-place 4x400 relay team at the Finn Pincus Invitational. The team finished in 3:41.93. At the JDL College Team Challenge, Thompson ran a new personal best in the mile in 4:46.03 to finish 16th. 

Outdoor - During the Trojan Opener, Thompson grabbed a new personal record in the 1,500 in 4:22.29 to place 16th. He ran a personal best in the 800 (2:07.09) at the LR Bears Open for a 25th-place finish.
