2016-17: Appeared in 24 games as a junior for the Eagles. Murray averaged a point and 1.2 rebounds per game.  Murray shot 52 percent from the field.  He led Carson-Newman in blocks in 10 games, notching two blocks on five occasions, most recently against Brevard (2/22).  He hit his career high four times, scoring four points, most recently against Anderson (2/8).  

2015-16: Sidelined with a foot injury, redshirted. 

Prior to Carson-Newman (Jacksonville): Murray was a reserve player for the Dolphins who came off the bench in 16 games in his sophomore season.  He averaged 0.9 points per game and 1.1 rebounds with four-point efforts against Hofstra, Florida International and Northern Kentucky highlighting his season. As a freshman, he came off the bench 21 times to score 0.7 points and grab 1.5 boards a game. He grabbed a career high six rebounds in his first collegiate game against Trinity Baptist.

High School: Murray went to Cummings High School where he was named to the NCPreps.com 2A All-State team in 2012-13. He was also an All-Region selection while leading Cummings to a 21-5 record as a senior. He was named MVP of the Eastern Guilford Christmas Holiday Tournament, recording a triple-double of 22 points, 20 rebounds and 10 blocks in the title game.
