2014: Did not appear in any games.
High School: Johnson comes to Carson-Newman from Knox West High School in Knoxville, Tenn., where he was coached by Scott Cummings. Johnson earned All-District honors and played in the National Guard Border Bowl All-Star Game. His senior year West was the Tennessee State Runner-Up, and was part of the winningest class in West history.
Personal: Johnson chose Carson-Newman because he trusted God to put him in the right place and feels like Carson-Newman is it. Johnson is the son of Christy Nichols and Chris Johnson, and is undecided on his major at Carson-Newman.
