Bio
2015: A second team All-South Atlantic Conference selection at defensive end. Booker was fifth in the league with 10.5 tackles for loss and second in the league with six sacks. Booker turned in a pair of sacks in the Eagles' win over Wingate. He had a trio of games with multiple tackles for loss, beginning with a career high three against North Greenville. Booker also turned in two stops behind the line against Mars Hill and Wingate. He finished the season with 40 tackles, a pass break up, three forced fumbles and five quarterback hurries.
PRIOR TO CARSON-NEWMAN: A junior college transfer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College by way of Bay High. Booker is a NJCAA Academic All-American and led the MGCCC with seven sacks in his sophomore season.
HIGH SCHOOL: At Bay High, he led the team with 16 sacks and 150 tackles.
PERONAL: Booker is a member of the national honor society and Phi Theta Kappa. He is the son of Daryl Booker.

Baker grabs SAC Offensive Player of the Year; Eagles place league-leading 11 on all-conference teams
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman running back Damian Baker (Columbus, Miss.) became the 12th Eagle to earn South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors and C-N placed a league-best 11 on the all-conference teams, the SAC office announced Wednesday morning.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (8-2) tied a school record with five interceptions and withstood a late North Greenville (6-3) rally to take a 48-45 decision over a regionally-ranked foe Saturday afternoon under grey skies at Burke-Tarr Stadium.
WINGATE, N.C. – In a game that featured five ties and a trio of lead changes, Carson-Newman (6-2, 4-2 South Atlantic Conference) came out on top with an 18-yard field goal from Carson Wise (Blacksburg, Va.) in overtime to produce a 41-38 win over no. 21 Wingate (6-2, 3-2 SAC).
