2018: Wrapped up his career at Mossy Creek with seven starts in an injury-altered senior season. Taylor helped Carson-Newman lead the nation in rushing with 349.5 yards per game. 

2017: After overcoming an early injury, Taylor rounded into form as one of Carson-Newman's top offensive linemen.  He appeared in nine games before earning starts in the final six of the year. He helped pave the way for Carson-Newman's offense to rank second in the league with 409 yards per game gained, including a league-best 275 yards on the ground.  The Eagles ranked in the top 10 nationally in yards rushing. He finished the year with six knockdowns and a streak of 156 consecutive plays without a mental mistake.  

2016: Saw action in four games as a back up offensive lineman 

2015: Did not appear in any games 

HIGH SCHOOL: Jacob Taylor joins the Eagle football program after leading the West Hall High School Spartans with five sacks while recording 56 tackles and a pair of touchdowns, one on each side of the ball. As a senior captain for Tony Lotti, Taylor earned Georgia 7AAA first team All-Region as an outside linebacker for a defense that led Region 7 in scoring defense by yielding just 7.2 points per game. The National Honor Society member was a leader on a squad that was the Region 7AAA Champions in 2014.
