2020: Phanor started against UVA Wise in the Eagle's lone spring game and registered one tackle, a sack and a tackle for loss. He also blocked a field goal.  

2019: Phanor started all 12 games of his junior season at defensive end.  Phanor earned TSWA state defensive player of the week honors after his performance on Homecoming against Newberry (10/26).  The Naples, Fla.-native was a force in the backfield in Carson-Newman's 24-21 Homecoming win over Newberry. The junior resest his career highs for tackles and tackles for loss with six and 3.5, respectively.  The 3.5 tackles for loss are the most by any Eagle in a single game this season and tied for the 11th most in a single game in school history.  His tackles for loss backed Newberry up 13 yards. The junior accounted for tackles for loss in each of the first two quarters and added two tackles for loss with a sack in the fourth quarter, the team's only sack of the game.  On the year, Phanor had 24 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss.  He also had a five tackle performance at Limestone (11/9).  He led the team with six quarterback hurries. 

HONORS:

2018: Appeared in 10 games for Carson-Newman as a reserve defensive lineman. He had eight tackles and a tackle for loss on the year.  He had multiple tackles against Catawab (9/29) and Virginia-Lynchburg (10/20).  He also registered his only tackle for loss on the year against the Dragons. 

2017: Appeared in all 11 games and made eight tackles for the Eagles. He had 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack. Only game with multiple stops was Pikeville. He had two solo tackles against the Bears. Had his lone sack against UPike as well. 

2016: Did not appear in any games. 

HIGH SCHOOL; Wycleff Phanor is a defensive lineman from Naples High School in Naples, Fla. Phanor registered 83 tackles, 10 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries during his senior campaign with the Golden Eagles. He was an All-District and All-Southwest Florida player and helped lead Naples to a district and region championship. He was coached by Bill Kramer.

PERSONAL: Phanor is the son Gisele Phanor and will study Sociology.
