Bio

2022: Started all 11 games for Carson-Newman at corner.  Anderson accrued 36 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss.  He broke up 11 passes and had an interception against Catawba (Nov. 12) in the regular season finale.  He topped ut at five tackles on three occasions - Limestone (Sept. 17), Mars Hill (Oct. 22) and at Emory & Henry (Oct. 29). His five stops against the Wasps were all solo tackles.  He redirected three passes against Erskine (Oct. 15) and blocked a kick at Tusculum (Oct. 8).  

2021: In an injury-shortened campaign, Anderson appeared in eight games while making seven starts.  The defensive back made 20 tackles, including 12 solo to go along with a team-best two picks.  He has a season-high five tackles against both Lenoir-Rhyne (10/16) and Limestone (11/6), while picking off passes against both West Georgia (9/2) and UVA Wise (9/25).  

2020: Anderson made eight tackles, five solo, in Carson-Newman's 40-37 four-OT spring contest against UVA Wise.  

2019: Redshirted 

HIGH SCHOOL: Anderson helped Mauldin High School to its first playoff win in 10 years as a senior.  He was named all-region for the Mavericks and led the team in pass breakups as a senior.  He participated in the Shrine Bowl.  Anderson also ran track, earning all-region honors in that sport as well. 

PERSONAL: The son of Cathy Suber and Tony Anderson. He plans to study computer science at Carson-Newman.
