HIGH SCHOOL: Hughes tallied 1,200 rushing yards and 260 career tackles as a two-way player for Brad Turner at Gibbs. He was named player of the week six times in his high school career.
PERSONAL: The son of Amy and Mikey Hughes, he plans to study sports management at Carson-Newman. He is the younger brother of former Carson-Newman Softball player and All-American Macey Hughes. In high school, he was a member of the National Honor Society.
