HIGH SCHOOL: McCarthy didn’t allow any sacks in his senior year while playing for Brian Coleman at Summit High School. He was a three-year starter, earning all-region honors as a sophomore, junior and senior. He helped Summit to a state title in 2021.
PERSONAL: The son of Gina and TC McCarthy, he plans to study exercise science at Carson-Newman. He was a member of the National Honor Society in high school.
