2025: Olarinde made 10 appearances with one start at linebacker. He had 23 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Olarinde registered a season-best five stops against UVA Wise (Oct. 25). 

2024: Olarinde appeared in all 12 games for C-N. He made 17 tackles as a reserve Fox end with 2.5 sacks and a pick six. He returned an interception 17 yards for a score against Tusculum (Nov. 9). Olarinde had a tackle in all but one week of the season with a high watermark of three against Barton (Oct. 5).  He tallied solo sacks against the Bulldogs and Anderson (Nov. 2).  

2023: Did not appear in any games, redshirted. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Olarinde had a standout career at South Cobb High School, where he was a two-time first-team all-region selection and earned honorable mention all-state recognition. In the 2022 season, he recorded 88 total tackles in seven games, with three interceptions, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two defensive touchdowns. He was also named the team's defensive player of the year.

PERSONAL: Jimi is the son of Olu and Iy Olarinde and plans to study architecture at Carson-Newman.  He ultimately chose Carson-Newman because of the interest the coaching staff showed in both his athletic and academic success. Olarinde’s brother played college football at Point University.
