2019-2020: The freshman set new personal record and school record in the 50 free prelims with a time of 20.04 in the first day of competition at the Tennessee Invitational. Zemturis finished sixth in the 'B' final of the 100-yard backstroke on day three of the BMC Championships. Zemturis broke a school record in the 50-yard freestyle by finishing his prelim race in 19.96 on the first day of BMC Championships. The freshman qualified for the NCAA National Championships but did not get to participate because the competition was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
High School: Attended Ventspils Valsts 1. ?imn?zija....participated in European Junior Championships 2018 where he placed 28th in 50m freestyle... Finished first in 50M freestyle and 50M butterfly at Latvian Winter Championship 2019 (LC)
