ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman senior forward Trenna Howell (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) has been named first team All-South Atlantic Conference, and sophomore keeper Sarah Tomkins (Franklin, Wis.) has been named second team All-SAC for the 2011 season, the conference announced on Thursday.

Hickory, N.C. - The top-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team (16-1) advanced to the semifinals of the 2011 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament with a 2-1 victory over Carson-Newman (5-11-1), the No. 8 seed, Wednesday evening at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex. L-R will face fourth-seeded Anderson in the tournament semifinals on Friday at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C., beginning at 6 p.m.

The Eagles improved to 5-8-1 on the season and 2-4-1 in the league.
