ROCK HILL, S.C. – For the second consecutive season, the Carson-Newman women’s soccer team (16-3-1) has brought home the hardware, as they knocked off the Wingate Bulldogs (12-6-1), 2-1, in Sunday’s South Atlantic Conference Tournament final to claim their second straight SAC title and the sixth in the program’s history.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Following a win over Anderson (S.C.) in the South Altantic Conference semifinals, the Carson-Newman women’s soccer team is one win away from their second consecutive SAC title. The final obstacle remaining in the Eagles quest to repeat is the Wingate Bulldogs and these teams will collide in the SAC Tournament final on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn – After taking out Catawba in the first round of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament on Tuesday, the second-seeded and SAC regular season champion Carson-Newman women’s soccer team will face the Anderson (S.C.) Trojans in the semifinals in Rock Hill, S.C. on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – After a regular season in which she led the SAC in goals and points and tied for second in assists, Lauren Wade (Coleraine, Northern Ireland) has been named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year. Wade is also one of a Carson-Newman record ten players to be chosen for the league’s all-conference teams.
