Bio

2022: Harris becomes a consensus All-American after garnering first team honors from the NFCA.  Harris was named to the D2CCA second team. Harris is just the third player in Carson-Newman history to earn All-America honors at second base.  Abby Fessinger was lauded in 2017 as a freshman at the position while Whitney Cruze (ne' Hickam) picked up honors at second base in 2008.  Siebert played second in 2015 but garnered her accolade as a utility player after splitting time in the outfield, behind the plate and at short. Harris, NCAA Division II's active hits leader, finished her career with 334 knock.. She's 11th in NCAA Division II history for career hits. Harris led the SAC and is fourth nationally with 85 knocks. Harris has the fourth highest batting average in the country (.486). A total that is fourth-best in program history and SAC history. Harris is one of five players in program history to have produced 80 or more hits in a year (Carol Zachary Mitchell, Kelli Hensley, Jessie Howard and Sammi Hatcher Chafin). She finished the year with the fourth-most hits in a single-season in school history. Additionally, Harris as smoked 18 doubles, two away from the single-season school record shared by Whitney Hickam (2008) and Mandy Stevens (2007). Harris finished the year with 36 stolen bases in 38 attempts good for the sixth most swipes in a single season in school history. Harris has produced a trio of double-digit hitting streaks, topping out at 11 consecutive games. She didn't go back-to-back games without a hit this season. The senior had a four-hit day against King (Feb. 19). She matched a single-game school record by drilling three doubles against Emmanuel (Feb. 6.).
