Bio
2022-2023: Amano raced in the 200-yard freestyle relay with Kennadi King, Lily Parr, and Manon Compagner at the 2023 NCAA DII Swimming and Diving Championships. The quartet earned Honorable Mention All-American honors for their ninth-place finish in 1:33.04. Amano raced again in the 400-yard freestyle relay where the team earned All-American status and set a new program record in the event in 3:22.40. During the South Atlantic Conference Championships, Amano placed seventh in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.27 and ninth in the 200-yard backstroke finals in 2:06.74. She set two new personal records during the championships. Against Georgia Tech, Amano swam a personal best in the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:20.97 to finish sixth. She ended the season with nine top-5 finishes.
2021-2022: Amano finished 1st against Lees-McRae in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.83 and 2nd in the 200-yard backstroke in the King Early Season Invite.
2020-2021: Amano finished 15th in the women's 200-yard backstroke (2:15.86) and eighth in the women's 100-yard backstroke (1:01.12) against Wingate.. Finished second in the women's 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.77 against Mars Hill.. Garnered top-20 finishes in the women's 400-yard IM (4:56.32), women's 100-yard backstroke (58.61), 200-yard butterfly (2:17.80), and 200-yard backstroke (2:08.83) at the 2021 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships.
2019-2020: Amano finished seventh in the 'B' final of the 100-yard backstroke on day three of the BMC Championships.
High School: Attended Amorim High School... placed second in the 200 backstroke at Nationals.
