Bio
2022-2023: Bender had seven top-5 finishes on the season. She placed fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke against Georgia Tech with a time of 2:32.49. Bender finished second in the event against Emory & Henry. She finished second in the 400-yard IM against Lees-McCrae with a season best performance of 4:44.80. Bender ended the season with six personal best performances.
2021-2022: Bender placed 4th in the 200-yard breaststroke against Wingate with a time of 2:35.27. She placed 4th in the 200-yard IM against Milligan, as well as placing 6th in the 100-yard breaststroke.
High School: Part of a Knights program which won team State in 2019. Was named rookie of the year for the Knights in 2016. Scholastic All-American all four years.
Personal: Daughter of Alan Bender. Intends to major in criminology at Carson-Newman. Dad, Alan, played golf and basketball at Delaware. Sister competes for South Carolina swimming.
