2021 (Sophomore): Saw the court in 16 matches playing 45 total tallying 45 kills... Tallied a season-high six smashes on two occasions, once on Oct. 23 against Augusta, and at Lincoln Memorial on Nov. 2 adding five block assists in the match.

Spring 2021 (Freshman): Played in nine sets over four matches filling up the stats with six kills, four digs, an ace and 4.5 blocks... Earned the start in the first match of the year against Catawba on Feb. 27 piling up five kills hitting .385 with an ace, four digs and two block assists... Posted three blocks and a kill in two sets at UVA Wise on March 9.

Prior to Carson-Newman: Gay, a freshman from Science Hill High School, led the program in blocks three times posting 574 career kills and 271 total blocks. She led the club to a district runner-up slot in 2018 adding all-conference honors and an all-tournament selection in 2019. During week five of 2019, Gay was named the Merrill Lynch Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The middle blocker was a member of the Beta Club.
