2022 (Senior): Wheeler joined Jenna Wilson (2014) as the only All-Americans in program history earning honorable mention honors from the AVCA and second-team laurels from the D2CCA, the first player in school history to be on a top three team. After being a first-team all-league selection and first-team AVCA and D2CCA All-Region honoree, the outside hitter ties the bow on one of the most illustrious seasons in program history. For the year, the Murfreesboro, Tenn. native tallied 14 honors adding to a first-team All-South Atlantic Conference honor and a SAC All-Tournament team selection. Wheeler is the fourth player in program history to earn all-region nods in two separate seasons joining three-time pick Morgan Ballard and two-time selections Carly Mozgai and Nikki James. Wheeler was one of the best players in the country this year ranking 10th in kills per set (4.38), 10th in points per set (4.83) and sixth in total kills (504). Her total kill tally was over 100 more than any other player in the SAC and was one of five players in the nation with at least 500. In the C-N record books, Wheeler's 4.38 kills per set average stands as the best in a single year passing Carly Mozgai's 4.17 set in 2010. The Murfreesboro, Tenn. native had the second-most kills for a single season in school history and finishing 19 shy of the all-time school record. She was in double figures for kills in 31 of the team's 33 matches leading the team in the category 30 times. Between last season and this year, Wheeler increased her kills per set average by one and her hitting percentage by nearly 60 points. She had tallied 18 double-doubles and five matches with 20-plus kills. The three-time SAC Offensive Player of the Week matched a career-high with 27 kills, the second-most in a single match in school history, on a .348 hitting percentage adding 18 digs in a four-set win at Limestone on Sept. 10. Among a year of highlights, Wheeler notched a career-best .583 attack percentage with 14 kills on 24 swings in a sweep of Emory & Henry on Nov. 1.

2021 (RS-Sophomore): The outside hitter is one of the three underclassmen in the region on the 14-player roster. Wheeler is the ninth player in program history to earn the laurel from the AVCA and first since Morgan Ballard was touted in 2018. She is the first outside hitter to take home the plaudit since Rachel Harper in 2014. All told she is the 11th player to be named all-region by a publication. The second-team All-South Atlantic Conference selection put together one of the best seasons by an outside hitter in school history ranking ninth in the country with 433 total kills, one off of the top 10 for a single year in C-N history, sitting in third in the league with 3.46 kills per set. For the year, the Murfreesboro, Tenn. native posted 23 matches with at least 10 smashes including six with 20 or more. She has led the team in kills 21 times. The two-time SAC Offensive Player of the Week has put her name in the record books with eye-popping performances. In a five-set loss at Union on Sept. 18, the Murfreesboro, Tenn. native finished with 25 kills hitting .240 adding 13 digs. It was the third time in the last decade that an Eagle produced 25-plus smashes and first since Molly Locke on Nov. 20, 2015 had 25 against Anderson, a span of 153 matches and 2,153 days prior. Wheeler produced 27 kills on a .219 clip with 15 digs and two block assists on Oct. 12 against Mars Hill. The outside hitter reset her career high joining Molly Locke as the only players with two, 25-kill nights in the same season. The Murfreesboro, Tenn. native tied Locke for the second-most kills in a match since 2004 as Locke also had 27 against Quincy on Sept. 4. Carly Mozgai holds the program record for kills in a match with 29 in five sets on Nov. 12, 2010 against Catawba. After crushing 26 balls on a .333 margin at Newberry in the next match, she finished with 23 blasts on a .367 percentage in a win at regular-season champion Anderson on Oct. 16 to become the first player in recorded history (since 2004) to achieve that mark. There had only been two occasions with back-to-back nights of 20 smashes with Kelli Sorensen producing 20 each against Wingate and Catawba on Oct. 8-9, 2004 and Rachel Harper having 21 apiece against Catawba and Queens on Oct. 4-5, 2013. For the year, the outside hitter recorded 14 double-doubles tacking on 2.75 digs per set and 34 aces. With 1,309 attacks, a mark that is fifth on the program’s single-season list, she is in the top 10 nationally in swings leading the Eagles in the area 26 times including in each of the final 15 matches of the year. She finished 20th in the country with 433 total kills and 11th in total attacks with 1,309.

Prior to Carson-Newman (Tennessee Tech): Appeared in 19 matches and played 42 sets at outside hitter… recorded 66 digs (1.7 per set), 40 kills (1.0 per set), and 13 blocks (0.3 per set) on the season… earned her first career start against Western Illinois (Sept. 20)… collected a career-high 22 digs against Southern Illinois (Sept. 21)… recorded a career-high 12 kills against Evansville (Sept. 17)… Posted a career-high .417 hitting percentage against Tennessee State (Oct. 12).

High School: Wheeler comes to Tech from Siegel High School, where she played outside hitter Shawn Robinson… 2018 Under Armour All-American Watch List… three-time first-team All-District 7-AAA… selected district all-tournament team twice… 2017 MaxPreps AVCA Under Armour Phenom… played club for MidTN Volleyball.
