Bio

2014-15: A first team All-SAC selection and second team NABC All-Region pick, Brooks was Carson-Newman's leading scorer in his junior year. Brooks was 11th in the South Atlantic Conference in scoring at 15.1 points per game.  He owns the SAC statistical championship for made field goals this season with 178.  Brooks also clocked in at seventh in the SAC with his 57.8 field goal percentage. Brooks also registers at second and third on Carson-Newman's single game field goal percentage marks by going 11-for-12 from the field against Queens and 10-for-11 against Anderson.  He scored double figures in 24 contests this season including 16 consecutive at one point – the longest double-digit scoring stream since Sanders collected 15 consecutive double-digit games his senior year. Brooks reset his career high with 28 points against Queens.  For the first time in his career, he dished out five assists in a game, doing so both against Queens at home and Newberry at home.  He had six, 20-point games this season, including three consecutive against Tusculum, Newberry and Anderson (that streak matches streaks of Davis and Sanders from their senior seasons for the longest 20-point scoring streaks for C-N under Benson).  Brooks put down his second career double-double with 23 points and 10 boards against Tusculum at home before doing it again four games later with 20 points and 11 rebounds in the Eagles' win over top-ranked LMU in Harrogate. He reached a nadir in the SAC tournament to earn all-tournament team honors.  Brooks had double-doubles against both Coker in the quarterfinals and against Lincoln Memorial in the Eagles' SAC tournament championship clinching win. Brooks earned SAC Player of the Week honors once during his junior season.

2013-14: Carson-Newman's fourth leading scorer and second leading rebounder in his sophomore campaign.  Averaged 8.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game for the year.  Started 26 of 28 games for the Eagles for the year.  Was 17-9 as a member of the starting lineup. Produced 14 games where he scored double digits, 19 games where he grabbed at least five rebounds and three games where he was in double digit rebounds.  Produced his best scoring effort in the Eagles' opener against Barton when he dropped 18 on the Bulldogs (11/15) off a career high seven made field goals.  That contest was one of three games where he scored at least 15 points, the others were versus Tusculum (11/20) and versus Queens (2/22).  Collected his first career double double against Anderson (2/19) in a home win over the Trojans with 10 points and 13 rebounds.  The 13 boards marked a career high and were a part of back-to-back double digit rebound games for Brooks.  The game before, he pulled down 11 defensive rebounds in a win at Brevard.

2012-13: Freshman appeared in all 28 games for the Eagles and made 12 starts for the Eagles.  Carson-Newman was 10-2 with him in the starting lineup.  Finished sixth on the team in scoring with 7.2 points per game.  Also averaged 2.7 boards.  Had nine blocks and 16 steals.  Turned in his best performance in an overtime win at Brevard (1/30) with 18 points on seven-for-11 shooting.  In that game he set career highs for free throws made and attempted (4-7), rebounds (eight, with two offensive and six defensive), assists (one) and blocks (two).  Had nine games in double figures and six with double-figure rebounds.  Turned in a three-game stretch where he averaged 13 points per game by scoring 18 against the Tornadoes, 11 versus Lincoln Memorial (1/23) and 10 against Catawba (1/26).  Finished the year by scoring double figures in four of the Eagles' final five contests.  Closed the year by grabbing at least five rebounds in the Eagles' last nine games and by scoring double digits in four of C-N's final six contests.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Brooks helped carry his West Rebels to a TSSAA State Tournament appearance and a 27-5 record in 2011, averaging 12.6 points and nine rebounds per game Brooks racked up weekly and year-end awards during his junior year. He was named Knoxville News-Sentinel Prep Extra Player of the Week three times during the season, and was also named All-KIL season team.  His senior year, he was All-Region, All-District, Prep-Xtra 1st Team, Defensive Player of the Year
