Hoops twin bill moved to Thursday afternoon
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - With the initial snowfall of the year in Mossy Creek, the Carson-Newman basketball doubleheader against Anderson (S.C.) has been cancelled for Wednesday evening and moved to Thursday with the women's game beginning at 4:30 p.m. and the men's contest slated for a 6:30 p.m. start.

The white, puffy precipitation from the clouds above began in the wee hours of the night and piled up on the slick and moist roads of Jefferson City making travel nonviable. Class was cancelled at Carson-Newman Wednesday with students prancing, building snowmen and sledding on the hills of a snow-drenched campus.
The basketball contests will be broadcast on the Eagle Sports Network beginning with the Appalachian Electric Cooperative Countdown to Tip-Off at 4:15 p.m. on Mountain Country 106.3 (WPFT-FM, Sevierville) and streaming online at cneagles.com/live.
