Bio

2015: A second team All-SAC selection at linebacker and a second team all-region selection by Don Hansen's Football Gazette.  Stupart was Carson-Newman's leading tackler with 91 tackles in his sophomore season.  That total is  the fifth highest in the league.  Stupart led C-N in tackles on five occasions and produced a team-best four 10-tackle games. Stupart's career high of 11 tackles happened three times (Catawba, Newberry and at then No. 21 Wingate).  He picked off a pass for the first time in his career against Shorter and also recovered a fumble against the Hawks.  The Eagles were 5-1 when he had at least  eight tackles and 4-1 when he had at least 10.  Stupart tallied 5.5 tackles for loss on season, all of which came in the final four weeks of the regular season. 

2014: Carson-Newman's fourth leading tackler as a freshman.  After coming off the bench in the first two weeks of the season, Stupart earned a starting spot in the linebacking corps the final eight weeks of the year.  He finished the year with 52 tackles, four tackles for loss, a sack, three breakups, a fumble recovery and a pair of QB hurries. Stupart had more than eight or more tackles on three occasions. He turned in nine tackle games against Catawba (9/27) and Newberry (11/8).  He also turned in eight tackles against Mars Hill (10/4).  He had his first career sack against the Lions.  He also had a career-best two tackles for loss against the Lions. 

High School: Stupart comes to Carson-Newman from Wade Hampton High School in Taylors, S.C., where he was coached by Kent Haltiwanger. As a senior, Stupart rushed for over 1,700 yards and had 16 touchdowns on offense. On defense, 68 tackles including two sacks marked his senior campaign. As a junior he compiled over 600 rushing yards and scored seven touchdowns. That season on defense he collected 96 tackles including six sacks and an interception.  As a sophomore, he ran for 350 yards with four touchdowns on offense while collecting 60 tackles and three sacks on defense. Stupart earned All-Region honors as a sophomore and senior, and the Generals were the region champions in his sophomore campaign.

Personal: He was a member of the athletic honor roll three years in a row, along with winning the Athletic Award from Furman for two consecutive years. He was also the team's Offensive Player of the Year for 2013, and holds the school's rushing title. Stupart chose Carson-Newman because he loved the coaching staff and the atmosphere around campus. The son of Juan Lambert, plans to major in business at Carson-Newman.
