Bio
2017: Mezier was sixth on the team as a junior with 47 tackles as one of Carson-Newman's two starting corners. He got the starting nod in all 11 of the Eagles gameas a junior. Mezier also made 1.5 tackles for loss and had half a sack. He broke up seven passes and also picked off one pass. His lone interception came against Newberry. He had a career-high eight tackles, six solo in the Eagles' regular season finale against UNC Pembroke. He also made seven tackles against both Limestone and Wingate. All his stops behind the line of scrimmage came in the opener against Pikeville.
PRIOR TO CARSON-NEWMAN: Racked up five picks and 40 tackles for Shasta College. Led California JUCOs in interceptions with eight his freshman year.
HIGH SCHOOL: A two-time all-conference selection at DB, helped South Dade to a 2013 state title.
PERRSONAL: The son of Wilson Delisca, he is working toward a career in law enforcemant.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (2-2, 0-2 South Atlantic Conference) faltered in the second half for a second straight week as Newberry (2-2, 1-0 South Atlantic Conference) rallied from a 10-point deficit to take a 25-21 win over the Eagles in the final minute at Burke-Tarr Stadium Saturday.
The Carson-Newman football team held its annual Media Day following the team’s scrimmage on Wednesday afternoon in the Eagle Club room.
