2025: Melton appeared in eight games, primarily on special teams, but did not register any statistics.  

2024: Melton appeared in all 12 games as a reserve defensive back. He tallied 10 tackles on the season.  He had a career high three tackles in the Eagles win over Wingate (Sept. 21) and multiple stops in the final two weeks of the regular season against Tusculum (Nov. 9) and in the SAC title game against the Bulldogs (Nov. 16). 

2023: Did not appear in any games, redshirted. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Melton recorded 125 total tackles in his high school career. He was named a  Second-Team All-Region DB in his junior year and First-Team All-Region DB in his senior year. His team reached the first round of playoffs.

PERSONAL: The son of Latosha Carr. He is a member of the National Honor Society and Principal's Honor Roll in high school. He plans to study to be a physical therapist.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — There was little doubt early that Carson-Newman would win its game against South Carolina Central Christian College. The question was how lopsided the score would be. At the final whistle, the Eagles sent the Gladiators packing after a 59-0 beat down in an exhibition contest inside Burke-Tarr Stadium Thursday night.
