ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman senior forward Robbie Hill (Middlesborough, England) and senior defender Evan Preston-Kelly (Galway, Ireland) have been named to the 2011 All-South Atlantic Conference Soccer Teams, the conference announced on Thursday.
HARROGATE, TN – The No. 4 seed Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters scored the final three goals to break open a 1-1 match and advance past No. 5 Carson-Newman, 4-1, in the opening round of the 2011 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.

The Eagles will face the No. 4-seeded Railsplitters at 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. The winner will advance to the tournament semifinals and then the championship match then taking place at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C. on Nov. 4 and 6.

MARS HILL, N.C. - The Lions' men's soccer team and SAC rival Carson-Newman College battled to a 0-0 draw Wednesday night in the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium. The Lions are now 9-4-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the SAC. The Eagles took their season record to 4-8-1 on the season and 3-4-1 in the league.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman Eagles posted a shutout of visiting Brevard College, 2-0, on Saturday evening at McCown Field. With the win Carson-Newman improves to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in South Atlantic Conference play. Brevard falls to 0-4 and 0-1 in SAC play. The win is the first SAC win for C-N first-year coach Richard Moodie.
