2017-18: The men's side of Jon Lancaster, Nikola Tadic, Caleb Howell & Marcelo Figueiredo broke a school record by a whole three seconds with a time of 6:36.82 at the NCAA Championships. Nikola Tadic turned in a time of 45.34 seconds setting a new lifetime best in the 100 yard freestyle and the best time of any Eagle in the event this season, recording a national 'B' time at the NCAA Championships. The same day, the800 freestyle relay team of Lancaster, Tadic, Howell and Figueiredo broke a school record by 1.5 seconds in the event, and earned an automatic qualifying time to nationals putting together a time of 6:39.06. Nikola Tadic (1:39.43), Marcelo Figueiredo (1:38.74) and Chad Andoljsek (1:40.91) took home first, second and third-place in the 'C' final as they all recorded lifetime best swims. Tadic, a freshman native of Croatia, missed the school record by .5 seconds at the Univ. of Tennessee Invitational. On the same day,aa time of 6:40.77 in the 800-yard freestyle relay, Lancaster, Tadic, Howell and Figueiredo set a school record beating the previous time by a whole two seconds.
