Bio
2025 (Junior): She was one of just two Eagles to start in all 16 games during the 2025 season. She played 1,381 of the possible 1,440 minutes. The junior defender played a full 90 minutes in 10 of the 16 games. She left the field for a total of seven minutes during the month of October. As a starting central defender, Palsdottir was a main contributor to the team posting seven shutouts during the season. She attempted five shots, one of which was on goal against North Greenville on Sept 6.
2024 (Sophomore): Palsdottir was one of four Eagles to start and play in all 16 games in her sophomore season. As a center back, she helped a C-N defense produce four shutouts in 2024 and held opponents to one goal or less in 11 of the 16 games. She contributed offensively as well for C-N, assisting on Molly Bukiewicz's first career goal in a 2-0 win over King on Sept 11. Recorded all there of her shots in 2024 in conference play, two of which hit the target.
2023 (Freshman): Started and played in 13 games as a rookie. Scored her first career goal off a corner kick to give C-N the lead 1-0 against Bluefield State on Oct 18. That goal turned out to be the game-winner. Recorded two shots as one of C-N's two central defenders. Did not play in the final five games of the season.
Prior to Carson-Newman: Palsdottir comes to C-N from Iceland, where she was part of a team that won an Icelandic championship in 2020. The next season she was named the most promising player. She has been a captain on her team for three years.
