Williams, Taylor tabbed for Bojangles Athletes of the Week
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman track and field’s Jason Williams (Fayetteville, Ga.) and softball’s Haley Taylor (Strawberry Plains, Tenn.) have been named Bojangles' Male and Female Athletes of the Week.

Sophomore Jason Williams finished first in the long jump at the University of the Cumberlands Invitational.
Williams's jump reached lengths of 6.52 meters, two-tenths of a meter longer than the second-place finisher. His win in Kentucky is his first of the season.
Taylor batted .533 average at the plate to help C-N to sweeps of No. 21 Anderson and second-place Newberry. That average went along with eight hits and a home run.
She highlighted her week with three hits, a homer and three RBI in a 7-2 win over Anderson in game two of the double-header on April 7. She notched three multiple hit games on the week and added a slugging percentage of .733.
