Bio

2025: Rogers produced career-bests both in the circle and the box in 2025. The Graysville native was the ace in the circle for the Eagles, tallying 14 wins, 4.21 ERA, 130 strikeouts, 126.1 innings pitched, while achieving .271 batting average, 10 home runs and 28 RBI. She produced five multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI games at the plate, including a career-high four RBIs two times, first against Newberry (Mar. 4) and later at home versus Catawba (Apr. 1). The right-hander tossed a season-high eight strikeouts in three outings, the season-opener versus Kentucky State (Feb. 1), in a complete-game one-hit shutout of No. 17 Tusculum (Mar. 18) and on the road at Virginia-Wise (Mar. 29). Rogers finished her Carson-Newman career with 394 strikeouts, seventh-most all-time in 363 innings pitched, the eighth-most all-time, along with 103 appearances and 79 starts, both the seventh-most in program history.

HONORS:

  • Second Team All-SAC
  • CSC Academic All-District

2024: Rogers wrapped up her third season on the banks of Mossy Creek with a 1-4 record in the circle.  She appeared in 18 games and started 12 with a 7.30 ERA.  Rogers pitched 38.1 innings on the season. She struck out 40 while walking 35.  Rogers topped out at seven strikeouts in her first appearance of the season when she went 6.1 innings in a loss to Eckerd (Feb. 2).  At the plate, Rogers hit .227 with three doubles and three runs batted in in 44 plate appearances.  Rogers appeared in 32 games overall, starting six games in right field.

2023:  Rogers earned Varsity Gems SAC Pitcher of the Week laurels after dishing out a no-hitter in the Eagles' weekend action at the Charger Chillout.  The sophomore was 2-0 on the weekend through 9.2 innings.  She only allowed three hits and struck out 14.  Through the weekend, opposing batters hit just .095 off of her. She started out by logging a win over Maryville (Mo.).  Against the Saints she hurled 4.2 innings of three-hit shutout ball.  She struck out five but did walk four.  However, it was against Shorter where Rogers was truly sublime.  In Carson-Newman's 13-0, five-inning, run-rule win over the Hawks, Rogers delivered the program's first no-hitter since Allison Rager did so to Anderson in the opening round of the NCAA Southeast Regional in 2019.  The sophomore pitcher recorded nine strikeouts in five innings of work. Rogers recorded the first five outs of game two via strikeouts before the Hawks actually put a ball into play.  Only one ball was hit beyond the infield. Rogers was also Carson-Newman's last SAC Pitcher of the Week honoree, garnering the award on March 22, 2022.  Against Mars Hill (Feb. 22), Rogers took over for a 5-0 complete-game, one-hit shutout in the night cap.  The 15 strikeouts are the second most for a single-game in school history, tied with Alli Webster's 15-strikeout performance in 2016 at Tusculum.  For the season, Rogers was 9-7 with a 4.36 ERA. She appeared in 28 games with 21 starts in the circle.  She went the distance seven times and was a part of four shutouts.  Rogers fanned 109 batters in 98.0 innings of work and allowed just 97 hits, however, she also walked 80 batters and hit another 11.  Opponents hit .261 off her.  She had a pair of double-digit strikeout efforts - the aforementioned game at Mars Hill and a 10-K day in game one of a doubleheader with Tusculum (Apr. 11).

HONORS:

  • SAC Player of the Week (2/14)

2022: Rogers started the season as a pitcher before settling into the outfield the back half of the season.  She hit .247 for the year with 44 appearances and 41 starts.  Of Rogers 22 hits, 15 were for extra bases - eight doubles, a triple and six home runs.  She drove in 20 runs.  In the circle, Rogers was 9-6 with a 4.31 ERA.  While prone to walk batters - she had 92 free passes on the year - opponents just hit .208 off her, the second lowest batting average against for a single season in school history.  Rogers was named SAC Pitcher of the Week on March 22.  Rogers is Carson-Newman's first Pitcher of the Week honoree this season, and the program's first since Allison Rager was recognized on April 8, 2019 after firing a no-hitter against Newberry. Rogers is the first freshman pitcher to receive the award since Lacie Rinus was recognized three times during her freshman year in 2017. The Graysville, Tenn.-native went 2-0 on the week with a 7-1 win over Limestone and a 12-0, five-inning, complete-game shutout of Catawba, her second complete-game shutout of the season. The freshman only surrendered four hits on the week while striking out 15. She touted a 0.58 ERA and opponents hit a paltry .093 off her last week. In the two games, Limestone and Catawba were a combined 0-for-22 with runners on base against Rogers. The run the Saints scored was the result of a wild pitch.

HONORS

  • SAC Pitcher of the Week (3/22)

HIGH SCHOOL: Rogers struck out 272 batters in her senior year pitching for Normal Nelson at East Hamilton High School.  At the plate, she hit .426 with 12 home runs.   She also swiped 21 stolen bases en route to helping East Hamilton to a district title.

PERSONAL: The daughter of Heath and Carol Rogers, she plans to study exercise science at Carson-Newman.  She comes from a softball family, her sister Sydnie plays at Shorter, while another sister Syvana plays at Cleveland State.
