2012 (Junior): Saw action in all 26 matches.  Made 16 starts.  Had 139 kills and 1.51 kills/set with a .197 attack percentage as a rightside hitter.  Ranked third on the team in blocks with 44 - .48 b/s - including four solo blocks.  Totaled a season best 14 kills against Brevard (9/27).  Had five matches with double-digit kills, three of which came in the season's final four matches.  Put away a career high five blocks against Catawba (11/9) and had four against LMU (11/6) in the game prior.  Her season featured two matches with more than 10 digs, including a career high 16 in a four set loss to Tusculum (10/30).  

Prior to Carson Newman

College of Charleston 2010-2012:  Shultz celebrated a two-season 29-3 Southern Conference record with the Cougars. She notched a career high hit percentage of .600 vs. Chicago State while on the CofC team. 

High School: Schultz played for St. Pius High School earning All-State honors and a Georgia Senior All-Star selection. She helped lead her high school team to the 2007 Georgia State 4A Final Four and earned runner-up finish in the 3A Georgia State Tournament the following year. She was named All-Area following her junior and senior seasons and garnered 3-AAA Player of the Year honors following the 2009 season. 

Personal: Schultz hails from an athletic family.  Her parents Jeff and Sharon Shultz have seen three of their six kids playing collegiate athletics, including Emily.  She is currently undecided in major but is leaning toward nursing or exercise science.
