Bio
Spring 2021 (Freshman): Played in nine sets over four matches filling up the stats with six kills, four digs, an ace and 4.5 blocks... Earned the start in the first match of the year against Catawba on Feb. 27 piling up five kills hitting .385 with an ace, four digs and two block assists... Posted three blocks and a kill in two sets at UVA Wise on March 9.
Prior to Carson-Newman: Gay, a freshman from Science Hill High School, led the program in blocks three times posting 574 career kills and 271 total blocks. She led the club to a district runner-up slot in 2018 adding all-conference honors and an all-tournament selection in 2019. During week five of 2019, Gay was named the Merrill Lynch Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The middle blocker was a member of the Beta Club.

WISE, Va. – Carson-Newman tallied its highest hitting percentage since Nov. 19, 2019 to extend its winning streak to four matches to begin the year taking down UVA Wise in four sets, 25-16, 25-10, 24-26 and 25-13, Tuesday at the Prior Center in South Atlantic Conference action.
