Addie Smith

Bio

2025 (Junior): Smith began the year as a starter for the Eagles, making 13 starts and playing in 27 games. Later in the year, she moved into a serving specialist role for the team. She notched 75 kills on the year with a high of 10 against E&H on Sept. 30. She recorded a double-double in the first game of the year with 15 assists and 16 digs; this was the 2nd of her career. She found success from the service line, recording an ace in 15/27 games. She finished in a tie for fourth in SA/s (0.28). In the final game of the regular season, Smith tore up Newberry's serve recieve with 7 aces, the 2nd most in a game in C-N history. 

2024 (Sophomore): Appeared in 16 sets across 6 matches for the Eagles. Put up a season high three kills at Virginia-Wise on Oct. 29. In the same game, she notched a double-double with 25 assists and 12 digs. Was 2nd on the team in assists/set with 3.63. Put up a career high 26 assists against Limestone on Nov. 12.  

PRIOR TO CARSON-NEWMAN (MARYVILLE COLLEGE): Appeared in 35 games, starting in 33 for the Scots. Led the team in kills. She recieved multiple Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) honors including being named to the 2023 All-CCS Second Team, 2023 CCS All-Championship Tournament Team, and recieved the CCS Rookie of the Week honor the week of Sept. 5. Collected a career-high 14 kills on four occasions, a career-high in assists with 24 against Methodist on Sept. 1, and set her career mark in points in a single match with 18.0 against Illinois Institute of Technology on Sept. 16 with 14 kills, three service aces, and two assisted blocks.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played under Head Coach Taylor Goines. Also played basketball for the Knights. Posted a career 988 assists, 245 service aces, 503 kills, 592 digs, and 104 blocks. Two-time Blue Ridge Classic Champions.
