Women’s Basketball delays first three games of 2020
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman women’s basketball has postponed its first three games of the 2020-21 season, contests at Coker, at Wingate and against Anderson, due to Covid-19 management requirements consistent with the South Atlantic Conference. Reschedule dates for the games will be announced in the future.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman women's basketball has postponed its first three games of the 2020-21 season, contests at Coker, at Wingate and against Anderson, due to Covid-19 management requirements consistent with the South Atlantic Conference. Reschedule dates for the games will be announced in the future.
Per SAC protocols, if one of the team's due to play in a game receives a positive test in their "inner bubble" then a team is shut down for 14 days. As it stands, the Lady Eagles will target Dec. 2 at Holt Fieldhouse versus Newberry as game No. 1 of the season. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
At the time of this writing, no Carson-Newman men's games are impacted and Chuck Benson's bunch will tip off at Coker on Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. to open basketball season the Orange and Blue.
