This year marks the most recipients for the program since 2019 when four Eagles were honored. This matches the second-most for a single season in program history, a feat that was also accomplished in 2016 and 2015. In total, 19 Eagles have been recognized since 2010, nine of those in the past three seasons alone.
With this latest accolade, Frövenholt is now the second Eagle to be named to the list three times, but she is the first to do so in three consecutive years. C-N's last golfer to be recognized as many times was Meridith Hawkins in 2013, 2015 and 2016. She graduated with a degree in Finance and Economics, maintaining a 3.95 GPA.
The Öjersjö, Sweden native closed out her career making starting appearances in each of the three events she played in during the 2020-21 campaign. She shot a 78.0 average in nine rounds, the second-lowest season average of her career, and ended her time in the Orange and Blue with the eighth-best career scoring average in program history at 78.70 through 47 rounds of play. Frövenholt finished in the top 20 of each event she played in, the highest being a tie for 11th at the SAC Championship where he fired a season-low single round of 72 in the final round. She carded the lowest 54-hole score of her career with a 229 at the Low Tide Intercollegiate.
Holland receives her first accolade after making her C-N debut this year as a redshirt-sophomore transfer. She is majoring in Physical Education with a 3.78 GPA.
The Sale Creek, Tenn. native started in four events on the year, averaging a 79.0 scoring clip in 11 rounds. She landed in the top 20 of two events, including an 11th place finish at the Louise Suggs Invitational. Holland fired her lowest round of the season in the second round of the Battle at Hilton Head with a 75. Her lowest 54-hole score came at the Low Tide Intercollegiate, posting a 20-over 236.
Thomas becomes the third C-N freshman to grab a spot on the WGCA list, the first for the program since Meridith Hawkins in 2013 and Melanie Manis in 2010. She holds a 3.90 GPA as she majors in exercise science.
Hailing from Mid Glamorgan, Wales, she started in four events throughout her debut campaign, averaging an 80.5 through 12 rounds. She notched the lone top 20 finish of her season with a 14th place showing at the Louise Suggs Invitational. She fired a season-low 78 three times throughout the spring.
The C-N trio was a part of 1,432 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
