JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman women's soccer alumna Felicia Frick has signed her first professional contract with FC Thun in Switzerland.
"Not surprised to see Felicia go on and sign a pro contract," Carson-Newman head coach Simon Duffy said. "Delighted for her because she has put in a lot of work on and off the pitch these past four years at Carson-Newman. She really raised a standard in regards to training, recovery and daily commitment. We wish her all the best in the future."
Frick becomes the ninth active C-N women's soccer alum to join the professional ranks. She will reunite with one of her former teammates at FC Thun, Alisha Heiniger, whom she played with during C-N's 2022 season.
FC Thun competes in the AWSL (AXA Women's Super League), the top tier of women's soccer in Switzerland.
Frick's final year with C-N was a career year, scoring six goals and adding three assists for a career-best 15-point season. 12 of those 15 points were in SAC play, where she recorded five goals and two assists. Half of Frick's goals came in her final home game at McCown Field. She recorded the program's first hat trick since 2021 in a 4-0 shutout win over Tusculum. Frick scored penalty kick goals in the 10th and 68th minutes as part of her three-goal game.
The Eschen, Liechtenstein native is Carson-Newman's best penalty kick taker in program history. Scoring four more penalty kick goals in 2025, Frick ended her career with a perfect 11-for-11 record from the spot, shattering the program's previous record of five, originally set by Lara Hallgrimsdottir during her four-year career. She ends her Eagles career with 15 career goals and 10 career assists over 65 appearances.
