JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman women's soccer will have two recent alumnae competing professionally in Switzerland as Selina Jud has signed her first professional contract with FC Thun.
"So happy for Selina to be able to continue her football career back home in Switzerland," Carson-Newman head coach Simon Duffy said. "She represented Carson-Newman so well and now she gets to live her dream, continuing to play with two of her former teammates."
Jud becomes the 10th active C-N women's soccer alum to join the professional ranks. She will reunite with two of her former teammates, Alisha Heiniger, whom she played with during C-N's 2022 season and Felicia Frick, who she just spent the last four years with at C-N.
FC Thun competes in the AWSL (AXA Women's Super League), the top tier of women's soccer in Switzerland.
Jud was named a third-team All-SAC forward in her senior season. Jud tied Frick for the second-most goals on the team with six in 2025, her most in a season with C-N. Along with the goals, she matched her career-best in assists with two.
The senior forward scored four of her six goals in two games, recording a pair of braces in dominant wins over King and Mars Hill in the month of September. After the win over MHU, Jud scored the game-winner at Newberry to end the week with three goals in two road conference wins. She capped her final season in Mossy Creek with a goal in her final home game, scoring versus Tusculum in the 57th minute of a 4-0 shutout win.
The Wilderswil, Switzerland native ended her C-N career with 17 career goals, six career assists and 40 career points over 66 games. She scored at least three goals in each of her four seasons with the Eagles.
