Eagles sit in top-15 for latest CSCAA rankings

Richmond, VA - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released its latest Division II Swimming & Diving Poll for the month of March. The University of Drury hold the top spot for DII men while fellow Bluegrass Mountain Conference foe, Queens N.C., is sitting in first for all DII women's swimming programs.
On the women's side of the pool, the Eagles have been ranked eleventh in all of Division II women's swimming. while the men's team for C-N is spotted in thirteenth place compared to the rest of Division II men's swimming programs.
For the Division II women's swimming national rankings, the top five programs remain consistent as fellow BMC member, Queens (N.C.) takes claim of first place with 173 points. UIndy women's stays in second with 168 points, Drury sits in third with 161 points, Nova Southeastern women's swimming is fourth with 156 points, and the fifth place remains with Colorado Mesa at 147 points. Meanwhile, the other Bluegrass Mountain Conference member ranked in the national top 25 is Wingate (N.C.) at ninth, with 104 points, dropping one spot from their previous mark of eighth.
For all of Division II men's swimming, the top spot has changed once more as national powerhouse UIndy slides down one spot to second with 169 points, right behind no. 1 Drury who sits with 170 points. In third place behind these two is fellow BMC competitor, Queens (N.C.) who are in third with 165 points. Wingate is tied for eighth on the men's side for the latest CSCAA rankings with 115 points to be the second-highest BMC program.
The ranking comes right after Carson-Newman sees a program record national qualifiers named as 17 Eagles will be competing next week as part of the 2022 NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships. Of the 17 Eagles who qualified for the upcoming Nationals, C-N sends 11 individuals with six athletes serving roles for relay purposes only.
The 2022 NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships take place from the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. from March 9-12. The four-day event will be livestreamed via the NCAA official website as well as provided with live in-event updates via the host school of Queens University.
