Eagles voted No. 2 in SAC Women's Preseason Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C.- Carson-Newman women's swim placed second in the South Atlantic Conference 2023-24 Women's Swimming Preseason Poll this afternoon, Oct. 4.
The Eagles collected 22 points in the preseason coaches' poll, grabbing two first-place votes. The results mirror the conclusion of last season's SAC Swimming Championships. The Eagles ranked second with 1,666 points at the finish of the 2023 championships. They followed closely behind Wingate who finished the season's culminating meet in first with 2,038 points.
This year, Wingate was again voted the favorite with 24 points and four first-place votes in the preseason poll. After C-N, Catawba was voted third (16 points), Lenoir-Rhyne earned fourth (14 points), and Emory & Henry and Mars Hill tied in the polls at No. 5 with seven points each.
Along with the results of the poll, the SAC released the 2023-24 SAC Swimmers to Watch. Carson-Newman women's swim had three swimmers listed including Kyla Blakemore, Lily Parr, and Kennadi King.
The Eagles will kick off the 2023-24 regular season this Friday, Oct. 6 at Emory & Henry. The meet is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. Stay up to date on cneagles.com.
