Minuscule movement in latest regional rankings
INDIANAPOLIS – Entering the final week of the regular season, the top nine teams in the Southeast Region stayed the exact same as the Carson-Newman Eagles coming off of a 3-0 week stayed at No. 3 in the area. The latest rankings do not include matches played Tuesday night.

Carson-Newman plays host to Mars Hill Saturday at noon to round out its regular season schedule as the Eagles have secured at worst the No. 2 spot in next week's South Atlantic Conference Tournament.
The lone addition to the mix is Augusta a team the Eagles beat in four sets on October 9. The Jaguars take the place of fellow South Atlantic Conference team Lenoir-Rhyne who dropped out despite riding a seven-match winning streak.
Top-seeded USC Aiken swept fifth-ranked Lander last Wednesday. The Pacers close out their regular season this weekend against No. 4 Flagler and No. 6 Armstrong. Those two teams challenge Lander this weekend.
No. 2 Wingate saw a 17-match winning streak end in a road loss to Queens in five sets November 10. The Royals have lost matches to Coker and Columbus State this season, a duo that combines for a 8-46 overall record this season.
At No. 7, Montevallo travels to Francis Marion, the sixth-place team in the Peach Belt, and and UNC Pembroke, one game clear of Columbus State for last in the PBC.
A pair of Conference Carolinas teams round out the group with Erskine at eight and Limestone at nine. The conference is in the midst of its conference tournament as the Flying Fleet swept Lees-McRae and will host Barton on Friday. The Saints took a three-set decision against Belmont Abbey and plays King (Tenn.) Friday evening.
The top eight teams make the NCAA Division II Playoffs with an automatic qualifier coming from the South Atlantic Conference, the Peach Belt Conference and Conference Carolinas. The No. 1 team in the region will host in the eight teams for three straight days from December 3-6. The winner of the region will advance to the NCAA National Championships from December 10-12 in Tampa.
