JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman has rescheduled postponed home contests with Limestone and Anderson for Feb. 1 and Feb. 3, respectively.
Both games will tip off at 6 p.m. inside Holt Fieldhouse. This is the third time the Eagles' contest with Anderson has been rescheduled. The Eagles were originally set to play the Trojans on Nov. 28 before shifting it to Dec. 16. Carson-Newman and Limestone were supposed to tussle Saturday Dec. 12 before the Eagles entered into the SAC's CoVID management protocols.
Those two contests were part of a four-game stretch that was affected by the Eagles' status. A contest with UVa-Wise that was added to the schedule will not be rescheduled. The Eagles will face the Cavs in the Prior Convocation Center on Feb. 10.
A makeup date for the Mars Hill game that was to be played Dec. 10 has not officially be set in stone.
Per SAC protocols, if one of the team's due to play in a game receives a positive test in their "inner bubble" then a team is shut down for 14 days. As it stands, the Eagles will target Jan. 6 and a road trip to Tusculum as their return to the floor for the fourth game of the year. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. in Greeneville.
At the time of this writing, no Carson-Newman women's games are impacted and Mike Mincey's bunch will tip off against Limstone on Dec. 12 at 2 p.m.
