Ingram announces 59-member signing class: 2025 Carson-Newman Football Signing Day Central

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman head football coach Ashley Ingram has announced the signing of 59 student athletes who will join the Carson-Newman football program. 

Carson-Newman signed 15 mid-year transfers, five from Division II institutions, five from FCS schools, two apiece representing prep schools and the FBS, as well as one from the junior college ranks.  Those players join the program in the spring.  The other 44 commitments are from high-school players. 

The Eagles' 59 signees represent 10 states.  Tennessee and Georgia are the two most-represented states, with 22 players from the Volunteer State and 12 from the Peach State. 

The average GPA of the high-school signees is 3.42.  

Carson-Newman brought in 30 defensive players, 27 offensive players, a kicker and a long snapper.  The most-recruited position was linebacer with 12 signees.

Ashley Ingram will present his second signing class to the public between the men's and women's basketball games between Carson-Newman and Mars Hill Wednesday evening. The women tip at 5:30 p.m., the men at 7:30. Ingram will showcase who signed across the grand hall of the MSAC from Holt Fieldhouse near MSAC Room 2000.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior, Jordan snagged 33 passes for 696 yards and nine touchdowns.  He was the Special Teams Player of the Year for the region.  As a junior, he snared 33 passes for 779 yards and seven scores.  He holds the Hendersonville High School records for most receiving TDs in a career (16), most receiving yards in a career (1,475) and most receptions in a career (66).  He was a two-time all-county and all-district selection while earning all-region and all-mid state honors as a senior.  Jordan also competed for HHS' track team where he podiumed in the long jump and 4x100. 

PERSONAL:  The son of Amy and Matt Jordan, he plans to study business at Carson-Newman. He was a member of the Beta Club in high school.

PERSONAL: The son of former Carson-Newman All-American football quarterback Leonard Guyton and Marquita Guyton.  He plans to study business at Carson-Newman. HIGH SCHOOL: Madison scored 161 points in his career with Sevier County, tallying 113 PATs on 119 attempts. He made 16-of-23 career field goals with a long of 46.  On kickoffs, he had 69 career touchbacks.  He earned Punter of the Year honors from The Mountain Press and was a TNFCA All-State selection.  He was the Region 1-5A Specialist of the Year.  Madison helped Sevier County to a state title as a senior.

PERSONAL:  The son of Dustin and Andrea Madison, he plans to study exercise science at Carson-Newman.  In high school he was a member of the National Science Honors Society and the National Honor Society. He was a winner of the Tennessee History Award.
