Carson-Newman stays in top-five of Golfstat rankings

The Eagles dropped one spot while Lincoln Memorial overtook them for the no. 2 spot after winning the Tennessee River Rumble in Lenoir City on Tuesday, Mar. 29. The Eagles finished fifth overall at the same tournament, shooting twelve-over on the week.
Carson-Newman ranks above SAC foes no. 11 Limestone and no. 24 Queens. The Eagles are ranked no. 2 in the Bushnell/Golfweek coaches poll and no. 1 in the Southeast Region rankings.
Barry University still holds the top spot in the team rankings.
Individually, Jonathan Nielsen is down six spots but stays in the top-10, sitting as the ninth-best golfer in Division-II. He moved up seven spots at the Tennessee River Rumble after finishing the second round and carding back-to-back one-over 73s in the final two rounds. He finishes the tournament tied at 21st with a four-over 220.
Jake Mynatt is up 25 spots in the rankings, sitting at 54th overall individually. Mynatt finished the Tennessee River Rumble tied for sixth with a three-under score of 213. He was one of just 16 competitors to record an eagle and carded twelve birdies in three rounds.
Teammate Alex Hodge moved up four spots to 60th. Hodge shot a five-under 221 on the week in Lenoir City, finishing in a tie for the sixth-best score on par threes, shooting one-under and an average score of 2.92. He finished in a tie for 25th at the tournament, moving up 23 spots between rounds.
Jackson Tyler remains in the top-100, sitting at 100th in the individual rankings. Like Nielsen, Tyler carded back-to-back 73s, finishing with an eleven-over 227 for the week to finish tied for 54th at the Tennessee River Rumble.
Will Collins is up four spots this week to 132nd in this week's rankings. Competing as an individual in Lenoir City, he finished tied for 34th. Collins carded an even-par 72 in the second round before shooting a one-over 73 in the final round, finishing the tournament with a seven-over 223.
AJ Ewart of Barry sits in first as the number one individual golfer.
