Nick Daugherty led C-N through the first two rounds, shooting a team-best 68 in round one before a 78 in round two to finish the day at 2-over. Daugherty's first-round front nine featured a pair of birdies, two bogeys, and the rest of the holes at par to enter the back nine at even-par. Daugherty stroked the first three holes of the back nine at par before an eagle on hole 13, carding a trio of birdies and a bogey to finish the round at 4-under.
In round two, Daugherty started with a triple bogey before four straight pars and a pair of birdies to overcome a bogey and enter the back nine at 2-over. Daugherty carded four holes over par on the back nine but stroked four pars and a birdie to help his tally to finish the round at 6-over.
Freshman Owen Larson sits tied for 47th at 5-over after day one, carding a 71 in round one before a 78-stroke round two. Larson started his day with nine straight pars, entering the back nine at even-par. Larson stroked four birdies and two pars on the back nine, combatting three bogeys to finish the round at 1-under.
Ian Schoonmaker and Elliot MacGregor are both tied for 51st at 6-over. Schoonmaker had an impressive front nine in round one, carding eight pars and a birdie to enter the back nine at 1-under. The freshman shot four holes over par on the back nine, but a birdie and four pars helped him finish the round at 2-over.
In round two, Schoonmaker canceled an early bogey with seven pars and a birdie to enter the back nine at even-par. On the back nine, four holes over par added a couple of strokes to his tally, but a birdie and four pars helped him right the ship and finish the round at 4-over.
MacGregor's first-round front nine featured a pair of bogeys but seven pars, sending him to the back nine at 2-over. MacGregor cut a stroke off his tally on the back nine, overcoming a pair of bogeys with three birdies to finish the round at 1-over.
In round two, MacGregor carded a pair of double bogeys and another hole over par but shot six pars to enter the day's final stretch at 5-over. He canceled out a pair of bogeys with two birdies and the rest at par on the back nine, finishing the round at 5-over.
Aidan Powter rounds out C-N on day one, tied for 69th at 10-over. Powter shot four holes over par on the front nine of round one, but a birdie and four pars sent him to the back nine at 3-over. He added one stroke on the back nine on a pair of bogeys and a birdie, shooting the rest at par to end the round at 4-over.
Powter matched a bogey with a birdie early in round two, but four straight bogeys sent him to the back nine at 4-over. Powter carded a pair of bogeys on the back nine but seven pars to limit the damage and end the round at 6-over.
The Eagles will be able to climb the standings on day two, with the third round of the Ralph Hargett Invitational teeing off at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
